Forage is a third-party payment processor and a pin provider that authenticates and processes EBT (formerly food stamp) recipients and transactions. In simpler terms, they are the technological bridge between Americans who receive government assistance and grocery merchants. Historically, those on government assistance were unable to use their benefits online, resulting in food deserts and a lack of access to the ease and convenience that online shopping affords. Forage is tackling this issue head on with their user-informed technology and commitment to creating food accessibility for individuals.
Because Forage is a B2B company with an audience primarily comprised of government officials and grocery merchants, the brand needed to reflect a level of professionalism and expertise without feeling too serious or austere. We landed on a custom word mark and logo icon that incorporates a bridge motif that serves as a grounding visual element for the brand. A restrained type hierarchy is balanced by a mature yet fresh colour palette. The result is a polished identity that gives Forage the credibility to confidently pioneer this burgeoning market.
